Georgia turns to be the USA′s "overland aircraft carrier " at the Caucasus

Since last week the world with surprise and alarm observes how the authorities of Georgia inflate a hysteria around "espionage scandal ", accusing the officers of the Russian Army that all of them without exception are the "GRU (GIA) Agents" and are guilty in all without exception acts of terrorism in the Georgian territory during last two years. Concerning to the situation development our correspondent Vadim NOVIKOV has addressed for the comments to the leading expert in the questions of a regional policy at the Caucasus, the employee of the Analytical Center "Caucasus" in Erevan , Sergey SHAKARYANTS.

- Sergey Eduardovich, the external outline of the events is known, but which of their moments are considered to be the key?

- Though only few days from the moment of the beginning of the Russian military men′s arrests in different parts of Georgia have passed , it already becomes clear, what is that. No doubt that the Minister of Defence of Russia Sergey Ivanov was right, when on September, 28 - 29 he openly passed the charges, addressed to the official Tbilisi, and several countries - members of the NATO : "It is absolutely clear for us, that Georgia has chosen the militaria way, the forcible way for the Abkhazia and the South Ossetia conflicts solution. Tbilisi hopes to enter the NATO just after the conflicts forcible solution in the South Ossetia and Abkhazia. Georgia feels, that Russia counteracts the forcible way of these conflicts solution. There are the peacekeepers who during last 16 years provide peace there. It is impossible to forget about the fact that 90 % of the population living in Abkhazia and the South Ossetia, are the citizens of Russia. They never were citizens of Georgia. After the Soviet Union destruction, when the inhabitants still had the Soviet passports, they have addressed individually with the written applications - is was in the last century - to get the Russian citizenship. And we gave out them the passports and the citizenship not only to the inhabitants of the former Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic, but to the millions inhabitants of all former Soviet republics as well. People have chosen the Russian citizenship. It was their legal right ". Taking into consideration that audience, at the presence of which these words have been made (at the Session of the Council "Russia - NATO " in the Slovene resort city of Portorozh), it is possible to understand, that for very many S.Ivanov′s "listeners" these objective facts were the real revelation. In fact the Georgian authorities from year to year represented on the international scene the population of Abkhazia and the South Ossetia as "the Georgia′s citizens ". And absolute majority of those to present in Portorozh obviously were confused, when S.Ivanov has continued his charges: "Some NATO members supply Georgia with the weapon and an ammunition of the Soviet manufacture. The Soviet weapon export by these states had been rigidly regulated and it had been stipulated the weapon wouldn′t fall into to the third countries. It means that these countries have broken the peace practice ".

What to say? From the very beginning it was clear, that Georgia has made up its mind to provide the largest for the post-Soviet period anti-Russian provocation only because it was forcefully pushed to do that and promised, that "in case of something " the official Tbilisi would be taken very quickly under the trusteeship. Many days have already passed since the beginning of the next ruso-phobic hysteria of the Tbilisian "pink revolutionaries", and it became clear - not all circles in the NATO are ready to follow for frenzied "Fuerhers" with the Georgian surnames. On September, 29 the NATO General Secretary , Dutchman Yaap de Khoop-Skheffers in the same Portorozh, has called Russia and Georgia to be restrain in connection with the last events in relations between two countries.

The alliance cannot influence directly on the relations of Russia and Georgia, has told Yaap de Khoop-Skheffers , having noted : "Except for my call, the NATO cannot play a direct role in this situation ". Now the European Community also has let Tbilisi to understand , that the Georgian authorities have obviously overestimated their opportunities and their hopes for the "help" of the West. Last Sunday the EU Supreme Representative on the Foreign Policy and Security Havjer Solana has warned Michael Saakashvili of the risk to escalate further more the conflict with Russia after the Russian military men detention in this country . He has called Saakashvili to search the ways for the prompt settlement of the conflict. In a telephone conversation with Georgia′s President H.Solana has confirmed his readiness to mediate in such settlement. OSCE has not stood aside too. As the International News Agencies informed on October, 01-st , the working Chairman of this Organization, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belgium, Charles de Gyukht has called Russia and Georgia as soon as possible to find a way out of a conflict situation. "I call the parties to respect the principles of the International Law, to refrain from any provocative actions, to establish a dialogue and to find the fast decision, - was said in the statement. - I shall remain in contact with all parties to promote these purposes approach ". According to the statement Charles de Gyukht should fly "to the region to assist in the conflict situation settlement ".

-What stands behind the present "activity" of Georgia?

- Not "what", but "who". It has come to light rather quickly. After the Russian Diplomacy operatively initiated the hearings in the Security Council of the United Nations due to the last Georgian provocation ONLY one party in the world - the USA (not saying about some American "wards" like any Ukrainas, Latvias and Polands) - "stood up" for official Tbilisi and actually blocked the Russian initiative. I′d like to emphasize: Washington has blocked the anti-Georgian Statement of the United Nations Security Council. As Maria Zakharova, the Press-Secretary of the Russian Mission in the United Nations, informed on September, 30-th , the United States have made the unacceptable for Russia amendments to the Project of the Memorandum: " They change the essence of the Memorandum . It makes impossible to accept it ". The Americans have demanded the time - ostensibly for additional consultations with their State Department though, as they say, it′s a stone′s throw from New York, where sits the United Nations up to Washington where the citadel of the world′s instability , called the White House with its State Department" is deployed".

More that, the USA have simultaneously started to force the process of Georgia acceptance in the NATO, on what, as a matter of fact, Tbilisi hoped too. The Bill supporting the Georgia introduction in the members of the NATO had been brought to Senate of the USA at once. As it was informed at the Chamber′s Secretariat, on September, 30-th , the Bill had been brought by the group of senators headed by the leader of the Senatorial Majority, a Republicans Bill Frist. The Frist′s Initiative was supported by some senators, in particular, by some famous American ruso-phobers - the Chairman of the Senate′s Committee on Foreign Affairs Richard Lugar and

John Mc Kein. Yes - yes! Those who recently have visited Tbilisi and had time "to threaten with a finger" aside to Abkhazia with South Ossetia, and Russia either. And those, that have literally demanded to take out the Russian peace-keeping contingents from the disputed zones. In the Project on behalf of the USA Senate the support of the NATO further expansion and Georgia, Albania, Croatia and former Yugoslavian republic Macedonia acceptation in the North Atlantic Block is expressed. One more not an unimportant detail: on September, 28, that is next day after the beginning of the anti-Russian orgy in Georgia, the Georgian Newspaper "Alia" has put forward the assumption, that the USA Special Services can be involved in detention of the Russian military men . In this edition′s opinion , the officers of the Russian Federation can be exchanged for the British scouts arrested in Russia . There is one more, but the indirect evidence that the anti-Russian provocation carried out by the Georgia′s authorities had been "authorized" by the USA . It is known to everybody , that such organization as the International Currency Fund (IMF) is supervised by Washington. So, on September, 29 the Executive Council of IMF has hasty declared, that the question of the next tranche granting to Georgia will be considered at the Council′s Session in Washington late at night on September, 29!

Visually it looks as if the USA are ostensibly disposed to support the Russian - Georgian relations′ returning into a constructive channel. That very day, on September, 29, the USA Embassy in Georgia has made the Statement in connection with the Georgian-Russian relations′ aggravation, caused by the Russian officers arrest : " In spite of the fact that the given matter represents a question of mutual relations between the Russian Federation and Georgia, the government of the United States calls the governments of both countries to the fast and proper solution of this question within the bilateral cooperation. We , that the governments of Georgia and Russia will be able to discuss and solve similar questions with joint efforts and on a basis of mutual respect ". Well, if the American party′ desires are those, it would be possible to name the USA Embassy initiative as a creditable example of peaceful disposition. But there is something to be amazed at! Firstly , if the USA really has so great desire the governments of Russia and Georgia to continue the dialogue and the process of interaction at the Caucasus , why Washington has disposed itself to be an instigator and has not deprived M.Saakashvili′s junta of the support just the other day after the Statement of the Diplomatic Mission of the United Nations Security Council in Tbilisi?! Secondly, let′s focus on the fact - only… the American Diplomatic Mission in Tbilisi appears with the statement , instead of the State Department or the White House. Thus, it turns out, that the Bush′s Administration or the Kondoliza Rise′s company want to inform the Leadership of Russia and the peoples of the Caucasus, that henceforth the American Embassy in Georgia .. will participate in the matters of the region as "the independent player " from the USA! That is a place, whence the government officials of Georgia are "allocated" the wages. It is a frank slap in the face, and not only to the Russian Federation as to the state which is sure to solve the problems of the region which is the strategic one for it, but to us, the people of different nationalities living in the ancient Caucasus. And such behaviour of the Americans just demands even not an adequate, but the trebled adequate response and counteraction. Whether are the Russian authorities ready to reckon with similar realities and, accordingly, to take measures for bridling the American impudence at the Caucasus?! Today it is a question of the questions.

The estimations given by Vladimir Putin at the Session with the regular members of the Russia′s Security Council in Novo-Ogarevo, on October, 01-st became already known: " In spite of the fact that Russia consistently carries out all available arrangements on our military divisions′ taking out from the territory of the republic..., our military men are seized and put into the prisons in Georgia. It is such attribute of the Lavrentiy Pavlovich Beria′s policy right-continuity both inside the country, and on the international scene. Well, probably, they have such position. It is absolutely clear, that they try to pinch Russia as painful as possible, as well as to provoke it. It must be obvious to everybody. And, most likely, those who makes that , believe, that the anti-Russian orientation of the foreign policy is equitable to the interests of Georgian people. I do not think, that it is so. These people think, that, being under a roof of the foreign sponsors, they can feel comfortably and safe. Whether is it really so ? I would like to listen today to the representatives of the civil departments and the military experts. There are, probably, forces which are simply specialized in creation of the new crises, believing, that it will distract attention from the old problems. Probably, in a short-term plan it could have such effect. But surely - they won′t be helpful at all to solve the old and enough serious crises in the world. The Georgia Leadership Actions are to be estimated as the state terrorism with the hostages capture", - the Russian leader has rigidly declared.

And it is not the mere words. What the Georgian authorities wouldn′t be justified with, they didn′t ignore the fact, that the charges addressed to the Russian military men even if there were any bases for them , cannot be recognized proved and to be the reason for the arrests. Moreover, it isn′t a secret for anybody as far as without difficulty , and sometimes impudently the USA, the Great Britain & Turkey′s special services operate in the territory of Georgia. Moreover those western " knights of sword and dagger " from the territory of Georgia do not shun even to interfere into the internal affairs of the states next to Georgia - Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia. To take even the certain "bureau" located in Tbilisi and supervised by a certain British general Harry Johnson. Well, in fact it is obvious that the experts employed at that "Bureau" are not busy with the peace-keeping! Certainly, to stop the blasting operations of the special services of that states (for example, against Armenia), originating from the Georgian territory, the Saakashvili′s clique has "a thin gut" . But it is normally to arrest the Russian officers, without an idea how the fact of getting the absolutely secret information from the hands of "intelligence offices" in hands of "residents" is to be proved. Probably, the fascists from Tbilisi have expected "to be supported" from Washington again. Well, over the ocean they have been confused a little - they " needed time " "to consult" in the White House. But they are still silent for a while... By the way, there are no special hopes that any official statements from Washington will have the constructive value for the new type intensity settlement arisen at the Caucasus as a result of a Ruso-phobic policy of the Georgia′s present authorities.

It would not be desirable to list the chain of the events , foregone to the present Georgian provocation against Russia because the "Severniy Kavkaz " many times before informed its readers of how systematically and gradually the official Tbilisi was following the way of the anti-Russian escalation and, it is already possible to assert unconditionally of the anti-Russian hysteria in the region. In fact the Georgians dispatched the "signals" through the world in huge quantity, since that extreme campaign on desecration of the value and essence of the peace-making operation in Abkhazia and the South Ossetia with participation of Russia. Including the provocative initiative of the anti-Russian block ODER-GUAM around the question of " the frozen conflicts" on the territories of the given block countries transfer to be considered at the 61-st Session of the UN General Assembly. It isn′t a secret that the "tandem" Georgia - Ukraine became a "leading wheel " in the given initiative which, by the way, has been also supported by the USA! Moreover, the dirty fuss of the ODER-GURAM members inside the United Nations has not found a real support - just the secret intrigues of the Americans promoted the situation when the position of the United Nations′ Leadership, and the OSCE, and the EU have been ignored. Here is the attempt of "renaming" of the upper part of the Kodor gorge into a certain super-fantastic "Upper Abkhazia " with dislocation there really non-existed "the Mingrelian government for the Svanns " as the "the government of Abkhazia in exile", that was fairly estimated by all interested parties as an attempt of Georgia to change unilaterally the format of the Abkhazian-Georgian conflict and, accordingly, the peace negotiations of its settlement. By the way, this attempt of Georgia has been rejected by the United Nations Leadership - it is an obvious diplomatic defeat of the fascists from Tbilisi even maintained by the Americans...

- By the picture drawn by you, it is going to a war, isn′t it ?

- We hope, that the situation will not reach a war. More truly, that Georgia will not dare to renew the war neither against Abkhazia, nor against the South Ossetia. It is interesting, that the anti-Russian actions of Tbilisi have caused strong anxiety in the neighbours - both in Azerbaijan, and Armenia. Both Baku, and Erevan have expressed hope, that problems will be solved by the peaceful way only. So, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, on September, 30 through the lips of the Head of the Press and Information Department , Tair Tagizade has declared, that Azerbaijan, considering the Russian Federation and Georgia to be its neighbours and kind partners, highly concerned with the elements of intensity in the relations between them. To tell the truth, the fact that the President of Azerbijan, Ilham Aliev has not commented the situation, alerted highly. But, probably, he has been held down by the circumstance that he could not, even having a desire, take the pro-Russian position because Azerbijan is bound Georgia "hand and foot" within the framework of the anti-Russian blasting actions on the international scene. That is, figuratively speaking, Azerbijan appeared to be between the "hammer" of Georgia and the "anvil" of Russia.

In this sense they are more free in their statements in Armenia - as the Georgian authorities "have not spared" the Armenian factor at the Russian officers arrests in the region. Among the arrested Russians, and among the detained citizens of Georgia, ostensibly "for complicity to the GRU agents" - there are a lot of persons of Armenian nationality. The Chief of the General Headquarter of the Armed Forces of Armenia, the first Deputy of Minister of Defense, the General - Colonel Mikael Arutyunyan was the first to react, on September, 28 he declared : " I would advise not to hurry up with the estimations and conclusions concerning the detention in Georgia of the Russian officers and 11 citizens among whom there also were the persons of the Armenian origin ".

That Press-Conference, where M.Arutyunyan has made the specified statement, in our opinion, will be commented long both in Armenia, and in other countries of Trans-Caucasus and not only because Igor Gromyko, the Adviser - Envoy of the Russia′s Embassy in Erevan, took part. It is Important - what has been declared. Concerning the words of the Minister of Internal Affairs of Georgia Vano Marebishvili that "the Colonel of the GRU, Anatoliy Ivanovich Sinitsyn " coordinated the activity of the neutralized group from Yerevan, I.Gromyko has declared: " It is very difficult to comment the imaginations of the young Georgian politicians ". In his turn, M.Arutyunyan has noted, that "everyone can tell everything, it is necessary to have the proofs. I cannot speak about something, not having a demonstrative basis ". On the Armenian journalists′ question, whether any implied sense, directed against a deepening of the Armenian-Russian relations, is traced in the statement of the Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia, I.Gromyko has declared: " It is difficult to understand. With the same success it is possible to speak about Seoul or New Zealand. They declare much. Certainly, there are people in Georgia as well who want to cause Russia to quarrel with Armenia, it is favourable to someone , but they will fail to that". With this opinion the Chief of the General Headquarter of the Armed Forces of Armenia has completely agreed, having noted that "Nobody will manage to cause to quarrel Russia and Armenia".

One of the Governmental Coalition′s party - the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (Dashnaktsutyun) has even more abruptly expressed its opinion. On September, 29 at their Press-Conference the representatives of the party have declared, that all events connected to Armenians in Georgia, in particular, with detention of 25 citizens of Armenia for visiting of Abkhazia and South Ossetia, and also with charge of four Armenians in espionage, are directly connected to problem of Javakhk (Samtskhe-Javakheti - in the Georgian toponymics). Having stated this belief, the member of Supreme Body of the ARFD Spartak Seiranyan has added, that, being not capable to solve the problems lifted by the citizens of the own country, the authorities of Georgia try to change essence of these problems. "The statements of the local population of Javakhk or their discontent with infringement of their rights were enough for the authorities of Georgia or political forces of this country to characterize them as the intervention of Armenia into the internal affairs of Georgia. The terms which were used by the central authority of the USSR when in 1988 in Erevan meetings are used", - he has noted, having added, that the authorities of Georgia all processes in Javakheti, under the logic of the Soviet time, characterize as the process which is carried out by the group of separatists. Concerning a question of the detained Armenians, which Tbilisi has accused of espionage alongside with the Russian militarians, S.Seiranyan has noted, that the Georgian party, probably, wishes to transfer the Georgian-Russian conflicts in a "new plane " - truly, he did not concretize, in which.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs of Armenia Vardan Oskanyan at a meeting with the journalists on September, 29 has declared: "Watching closely the events in Georgia, we are concerned with the intensity increasing there, however it is an internal question of Georgia. We are concerned with complexity of the Georgian-Russian relations and we hope, that the situation will not reach up to from of their break as we are the witnesses that they negatively influence the Armenia too". The president of Armenia Robert Kocharyan has concerned the situation during his joint with the president of France Jacque Chirac Press-Conference on September, 30, thus having emphasized both the strategic importance of the situation, and complexity of the question: " Intense relations between Georgia and Russia always influence Armenia as well, our roads to Russia pass through Georgia, similar relations influence also on the volumes of our economic cooperation". Making the comments on the Russian officers arrests by Georgia and a situation developed as a result, the Head of the Armenian State has expressed hope the that all questions which have arisen in Tbilisi will receive the decision quickly and in a trunk-call way : " I always told to Russia, and to my Georgian colleagues, that Armenia most of all is interested in the normal Georgian-Russian relations. May be more than others because it directly influences on our economic situation ".

Perhaps, for the completeness of a picture of that, how in Trans-Caucasus they have apprehended provocation of the Georgian authorities against Russia, we shall refer also to some statements of the President of the National Assembly of the Azerbaijanians of Georgia (NAAG ) Dashgyn Gyulmamdov. To tell the truth, the Head of the NAAG nevertheless spoke not particularly about the last incident. Nevertheless, his characteristics are important as they reflect the point of view of some part of the Azerbaijanians of Georgia on all events. All actions which are carried out recently by the authorities of Georgia, all speeches of its Leaders have been relied on reanimation of the existing in the days of "velvet revolution " trust of the population, underlined D.Gyulmamedov on September, 30. As he said, thus " the authorities hope to catch up a train which has left already far, and to jump on its footstep ". However, the Head of the NAAG considers, that the representatives of the Saakashvili′s regime are sure to receive the necessary results at forthcoming municipal elections as the voters′ attendance will be minimal, that will give to the members of the Voting Commissions the big open space for total falsifications. We shall note, that the NAAG has already called the Azerbaijanians of Georgia for boycott of obviously unfair elections and will repeat the appeal directly ahead of the day of voting. D.Gyulmamedov also has told: " Our words are proved by the whole pre-election period during which the nominees of the Azerbaijanians having an independent position under the different pretexts had been deviated. On such people, I am sure it concerns not only the Azerbaijanians, - was put the pressure, they were called up and threatened with punishment over the members of their families. In other cases at the Voting Commissions they carped at any trifling mistakes in the registration documents. I do not speak about the arrests and even murders of some Azerbaijanians. We have lost count of the murders, abductions, arrests of Azerbaijanians within the Saakashvili′s regime governing. We have got used, that the murderers are never found. Or should they put themselves behind the bars ?! We are sure, that the authorities are sure to introduce the devoted to them Azerbijanians to the Municipalities". To tell the truth, the Head of the NAAG still hopes, that " in the European Community and the NATO sooner or later they will discover the true essence of this antidemocratic regime ".

- Whether the territory of Georgia can be hypothetically necessary for the United States as the further transform for their jumping-off place for the active actions in the region? In particular, directed against Iran.

- It is impossible to exclude the for-like probability, moreover the President of Azerbijan I.Aliev had repeatedly declared , that Baku will not support the military action against Iran, and Washington understands it. Aliev has warned, that in case of carrying out of the military operation the situation in all region can be destabilized. Baku is seriously anxious with that danger which can represent the conflict between the USA and Iran as the President of Azerbijan recently told in his interview to the foreign mass-media : "As for us it will not be a certain far show which can be watched on TV and at any moment it can be switched off ". And Washington cannot expect the support of Armenia, having with Iran the joint strategic plans in the sphere of the power industry and the power resources supply. Only Georgia is the only and a real ally of the USA in this question . And it bears the threats for Azerbijan as the reciprocal counterstrokes of Iran, in a case if America will intend even one attack to carry out from the territory of Georgia, should touch safety of Armenia and Azerbijan. That is, in any case if the present authorities of Georgia have been included privately into the American "anti-Iranian coalition" , it bears a great danger to other countries and peoples of the region either.

If to start with the given version it is necessary to recognize, that Washington prepares Georgia for transformation into a certain "overland aircraft carrier" of the USA - on type, for example, of Poland, Chekhia and Hungary which for eyes are called so in the capitals of the "old" members of EU. However it is much more dangerous to be "the overland aircraft carrier" of the USA at the Caucasus , than to be engaged in "pushing through" the American interests in EU and to prevent, for example, France and Germany to work in Europe for the sake of the continent transformation into a new geopolitic pole of the world. Take into account Whether the authorities of Georgia take into account, that their adventurous policy in own region can strike a boomerang on them?! Watching the Saakashvili′ regime behaviour - they don′t ! It is a pity! It is possible to advise to the official Tbilisi to learn a little bit to be restraint, what is providently demonstrated by the relations of the USA with their nearest neighbours.

We are really sorrowful to the Georgian people . It is that case when people obviously does not deserve such criminal government...

- What is your forecast concerning the nearest development of events, and what measures can be undertaken in reply to the anti-Russian provocation of Georgia?

- Having not received the strong enough "impulses" from the leading states of Europe, as from the NATO Leadership, now the authorities of Georgia are waiting just one thing - one more "signal about support " from the USA. As we spoke above, the first such signals have already arrived. It looks as if in Washington they gave any term to the official Tbilisi for "the territory integrity restoration" that by the moment of final approval of the mentioned Bill there was any clearness - what the alliance "USA - NATO" can apply on , using Georgia for achievement of their purposes at the Caucasus. To say easier - on which territories. Certainly, it is expected , that Tbilisi nevertheless will try with that or another way to destabilize greatly the situation in the zones of the Abkhazian-Georgian and Ossetian-Georgian conflicts, however for this purpose the Georgian authorities, I shall repeat, are waiting for one more American commands "to fall upon". Whether this command will follow or not - depends on what confidential consultation are now under discussion or whether they will be conducted between the USA and Russia. It doesn′t still look like that the USA are ready for the serious complications of their relations with Moscow. Though about the right of inhabitants of Abkhazia and South Ossetia to the Russian citizenship speaks the Russian Minister of Defence , but not the President of the Russian Federation , - Washington cannot ignore those objective reasons on which Russia is sure to protect a life and civil rights of the citizens in Abkhazia and the South Ossetia. Therefore, most likely, Georgia itself should "hush up" the started scandal, but it is still difficult to say how the Saakashvili Administration will do it - too much "wood have been already broken".

As to the measures directed on bridling of aggression of Georgia, it is necessary to recognize that to Power Departments of Russia will have to concern to the territory of the neighbouring republic as to the potential center of destabilization at the entire Caucasus. And then, first of all, it will be necessary for Russia in its work directed on the prevention of the anti-Russian tricks of the Georgian authorities - whether they are in the Russian territory (for example, in Kabardino-Balkariya, Ingushetia, the Chechen Republic, Dagestan, Karachaevo - Circassia) or in Abkhazia and South Ossetia (as there the Russian citizens reside), - to base on so-called special measures. Judging by the force the Georgian politics and militarians hope on the USA and the NATO, Russia hardly will manage to bring them round only by means of economic counter-measures.

Though, if the Russian authorities will simply reveal the citizens of Georgia living constantly on the Russian territory illegally , and will quietly and patiently explain to them what caused to their turning out home, it is possible, that it will render the essential influence on the Saakashvili′ Administration bounce - eventually, to receive up about half a million of the "hungry mouths", to employ them and to provide them even the minimal conditions of a survival not in Russia, but inside the Georgia, it appears, does not enter into plans of the Georgian "hawks". People will demand work and meal, habitation and the peace for their children, but the present authorities hardly have what to answer them . At the same time it is necessary for Moscow much more firmly, than earlier, to exclude an opportunity of renewal by Georgia of the military actions in the zones of the conflicts. Moreover, it is necessary to warn the authorities of this republic, that henceforth even in case of the slightest armed or other provocation in the zones of the conflicts, particularly against the peace-keeping forces, there will be the opened fire on defeat. That is, Russia should convincingly and evidently show to Tbilisi, that henceforth Russia will protect the safety and the rights of the citizens - both in Georgia, and in Abkhazia and South Ossetia with the most decisive and the diversified measures, including the military ones. And for the presentation to remind the Georgian authorities, for example, of how consistently and rigidly such allies of Georgia as the USA and Israel assert the rights of the citizens far outside of their own borders.

Глава Национальной ассамблеи азербайджанцев Грузии: Саакашвили может разделить участь Шеварднадзе

 

 

В настоящее время стало очевидно, что руководство Грузии потеряло голову и не может контролировать ситуацию внутри власти. Об этом заявил в беседе с корреспондентом ИА REGNUM президент Национальной ассамблеи азербайджанцев Грузии (НААГ) Дашгын Гюльмамедов. По его словам, "Теория заговоров" стала основным принципом президента Грузии Михаила Саакашвили.

 

Гюльмамедов считает, что некоторые внутри властной группировки уже поняли, что Саакашвили ведет страну к гибели, а управление авторитарными методами начинает отталкивать от президента и других членов его команды. Внутриправительственные разногласия дошли то такой степени, что с каждым днем растет вероятность свержения президента Грузии членами его же команды. Президент НААГ добавил, что не исключено, что Саакашвили может уйти по своей воле, не дожидаясь печальной участи свергнутого им экс-президента Грузии Эдуарда Шеварднадзе.
